Vegamax V-Tox is a premium mycotoxin-control feed additive developed by Vegamax/Global Products for use in poultry and livestock rations
Its unique formulation uses a blend of proprietary adsorbents, microbial cell-walls and enzyme systems to bind, degrade and detoxify multiple mycotoxins commonly found in grain and feed ingredients. It is designed to maintain animal health, improve feed efficiency and safeguard production in environments like Pakistan where feed contamination risk is high.
Key Features
Multi-mycotoxin binding: Capable of reducing aflatoxin, deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone and other mycotoxins by high percentages. (For example, one specification sheet lists >80% DON, 90% aflatoxin, 95% zearalenone degradation.
Combination technology: Uses an adsorbent (such as montmorillonite clay), yeast cell-wall components and active microbial/degradative enzymes.
Robust in-feed application: Safe for inclusion in typical feed rations for broilers, layers, cattle, etc., without harming nutrient availability.
Reduces drug resistance risk: By reducing toxin burden and health stress, the additive may support better immune status and reduce reliance on medications.
Locally applicable: Suitable for Pakistan’s feed grains (maize, wheat, barley) and the hot/humid conditions where mycotoxin risk is elevated.
Benefits
Improved Animal Health & Welfare: Mycotoxins impair gut integrity, immunity and overall performance; V-Tox helps mitigate those negative effects, leading to healthier flocks or herds.
Better Feed Efficiency: By reducing sub-clinical toxin load, more of the feed nutrients are converted into growth, eggs, milk or meat rather than being wasted through tissue repair or illness.
Production Stability in Hot/Weedy Conditions: Pakistan’s feed chain is exposed to storage and heat stress; using V-Tox provides insurance against toxin spikes, helping maintain consistent yields.
Reduced Economic Losses: Mycotoxin contamination often leads to reduced weight gain, dropped egg production, fertility issues – by controlling these risks, V-Tox helps safeguard profitability.
Supports Animal Nutrition Programmes: When combined with your regular vitamin/mineral and amino acid programmes, V-Tox adds value by controlling hidden risks rather than adding nutrients.
Uses & Application
Inclusion Rate: Incorporate V-Tox at the manufacturer’s recommended rate into the complete feed or pre-mix. Typical inclusion might be e.g., 0.2-0.5 kg per tonne of feed (please check the label or technical sheet for exact dose).
Feed Types: Suitable for broiler starter, grower, finisher feeds; layer rations; breeder diets; ruminant total mixed rations; and possibly for pig and aqua feeds depending on the specification.
Timing of Use: Continuous use is advisable in high-risk seasons (monsoon, post-harvest, hot storage) or when using feed ingredients prone to fungal contamination (e.g., old maize, wheat bran, sunflower meal).
Storage Advice: Store in a cool, dry place, protected from excess heat and moisture. Mix well into feed to ensure uniform distribution.
Monitoring: As part of a feed safety programme, regularly test raw materials and finished feed for mycotoxin levels; monitor animal performance parameters (growth, feed conversion, egg production). Use V-Tox as a proactive component of that programme.
Important Notes & Disclaimer
This product is not a substitute for good storage, grain handling and hygiene practices. Mycotoxin risk is best controlled by minimising fungal growth, moisture ingress and improper storage.
Always follow the manufacturer’s label, local registration guidelines and consult your feed-nutritionist or veterinarian before use.
If you are using other special additives (enzymes, probiotics, growth promoters), ensure compatibility and check with the supplier.
Results will vary depending on feed contamination level, animal breed, management and environment.
